Sixth grade musical students from the school furnished the program for Peabody Senior Center.

The Red Hat Society recently adopted three local servicemen and prepared care packages for them. The men selected were Pfc. Matt Kangas, Spc. Jay Gfeller, and Travis Davis.

Dusty Gaines, a sophomore at Peabody High School, has been notified he was selected as the State 4-H winner in the Wildlife and Fisheries program.

Mary Ann’s School of Dance will give a special Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at the Peabody High School Auditorium.

Guests of Dorothy Craig during the Easter weekend were Barbara Hodges and Stacy Alonzo of Topeka and Susan Craig of Lawrence.

Nancy Meirowsky, who teaches home economics at Remington High School, took a group of 25 students to the Home Economics Hospitality Days at Kansas State University April 3.

Dale Hague was first place winner in the mile run at the Hillsboro Relays.

Marilyn Henthorne was hired to teach language arts in the fifth and sixth grades. She is the former Marilyn Gaines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gaines of Peabody.

Susan Potter has returned from a visit of several weeks in Kansas City.

Mrs. S.D. Moffett entertained yesterday for Mrs. Till McKercher of Topeka.

Miss Lela Fuller left Monday for Emporia to begin a 10-week course of study at the State Normal.

A large specimen case at the library has been remodeled and is now ready for geological specimens, which are to be collected under the direction of Professor Kollock.

The Peabody Manufacturing Company now has their works running regularly and will soon be able to fill all the orders for the celebrated Joker Wind Mill.
