Martha Fost Wolfgram, 90, died Feb. 8, 2003, at Wesley Homes Health Care Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the only child of Andrew and Ethel Zirkle Fost. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1930.

Glenn Cunningham, one of the legendary American middle distance runners of half a century ago and former Peabody resident, died last Thursday, apparently of a heart attack.
Willard Jewell, son of William Fredrick and Harriet Woolrich Jewell was born April 5, 1905, near Dodgeville, Wisc. Funeral services were held at the Peabody United Methodist Church on Monday, March 11, 1988, at 2 p.m.
Jay Gfeller announces the arrival of his brother, Michael Lynn, born Monday Feb. 29 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.

Farrel McCauley, instrumental music instructor at Peabody schools for the past two years, tendered his resignation Monday. He has accepted a similar position in the new Frederick Remington High School now being built near Brainerd.
Alice Schupp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Schupp of Peabody, was one of those listed on the Deans Scholastic Honor Roll for the first semester at Beloit College, Beloit, Wisc.
Retiring directors of Peabody Cooperative Equity Exchange are Charles Eberhard, Harvey Gaines, and Ellis Craney.

The American Jersey Cattle Club of New York city has appointed C. F. Stone of Peabody as a judge of the dairy breeds of cattle at different state fairs. Three years ago, Mr. Stone himself had the best herd of Holsteins in America.
D. H. Wenger sold four carloads of heifers for $8.50 which is believed to be the highest sale ever made in these yards. — Drovers Telegram
Arnold Berns of Peabody says “there are fewer cattle in the feed lots in Marion County now than ever known before at the season of the year.”
