Casey Berger, Queen of Courts, and Justin Teutons, King, were crowned Winter Homecoming Royalty at the game Friday night.
FFA students at Peabody-Burns High School drove farm implements to school Monday and took them down Walnut Street during the noon hour to the downtown area.
Esther Highfill celebrated her 85th birthday at the home of Ronnie and Patti Gaines.

Merril Knaak, formerly of Peabody, was murdered at his Wichita home the weekend of Feb. 6, Wichita police say. (At one time, he maintained a shop at the present Peabody Printing Museum location.)
The Peabody Chamber of Commerce elected Peggy Phillips as the new president.
Fred Berns and Joan Berns visited during the past weekend at Cimarron with members of the Ridenour family.

Virginia’s Café will open next week, Monday, Feb. 18. The location of this restaurant is on Highway 50 just east of the Walnut Street intersection on the north side.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Slocombe of Topeka spent the weekend at their home here.
Mrs. Rachel Meyer, who recently purchased the Harold Hess house on Olive Street, moved in Sunday. She is the mother of Mrs. Ellis Craney.
