Tickets are disappearing fast for the Victorian Tea and Civil War period fashion show scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Peabody.

The Peabody Historical Society invites everyone to experience Saturday night in Peabody during the annual moonlight walking tour this weekend.

A Tea Tasting and Teddy Bear Tea is planned Oct. 18 at Jackrabbit Hollow in Peabody.

Ann Timmermeyer was crowned Homecoming Queen and Matt White was crowned King at ceremonies prior to the Peabody-Remington football game Oct. 15.

Gladys Mann has received word of the sudden death of her brother, Eugene Russell, on Oct. 16 in Arcadia, Calif.

Paul Kasper grew some rather large sweet potatoes this year and one five-pounder is on display at the Gazette-Bulletin office.

A most welcome 2.50 inches of rain fell here last night to end a month long dry spell.

Mrs. John Jones won $25 for the Philathea Circle of the Peabody Christian Church last week for her prize-winning recipe of Peach Cream Pie.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Madsen announce the arrival of a 7 lb. 15 oz. baby girl born Oct. 12. She has been named Michele Lynn.

J.L. Heath and his sons, Commodore and Theodore Heath, do all of their farming in common and they use over 2500 acres.

The History Club will meet next Saturday with Mrs. C.M. Clark.

The chairs of the opera house are being re-varnished this week.

T.M. Potter has been in Colorado this week buying cattle.

Mrs. Amborn gives a tea this evening for a number of her lady friends.

Mr. T.O. Mitchell, who formerly ran the Model milk truck, has sold most of his cows to Mr. Nore who will add them to his dairy and run both routes.
