David Chelsea Hawkinson, 69, of Emporia died Dec. 23 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at Zeiner Funeral Home, Herington Chapel.

He was born June 12, 1946, to William Leslie and Lorene (Naslund) Hawkinson in Herington.

He attended school in Burdick. He collected baseball cards, assembled jigsaw puzzles, and played 10-point pitch.

He is survived by many relatives in the Burdick area.

A memorial fund has been established for Hebron Lutheran Church.
