Darryl Rhodes

No services are planned for Darryl William Rhodes, 72, Wichita, who died Saturday.

Born Nov. 15, 1950, in Denver to William M. and Darlene (Davis) Rhodes, he grew up on a farm in Colorado and in 1972 graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in agri-business.

He began his career at U.S. Ag Bank in Wichita as a loan officer trainee and rose to chief executive.

On Oct. 3, 1980, he married Susan Ast. Shortly before he retired, he purchased Rhodes Red Angus Ranch near Florence.

Survivors include wife Susie; children Jared Rhodes of Sandy, Utah, and Amy Walenta of Wichita; and three grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island NY 10306.
