Seven members of the Peabody-Burns High School cross-country team traveled Thursday to Clearwater for a meet. Two runners medaled at the competition.
Angelica Winsor medaled at 17th in the junior/senior 2-mile girls’ event with a time of 15 minutes, 20 seconds. Zach Preheim medaled at 27th in the junior/senior boys’ 2 mile event. He ran the course in 13:09.
Christian Chastain ran the boys’ event and finished 49th with a time of 14:26.
Jaydin Hutchinson competed in the freshman/sophomore 2-mile boys’ event. He finished 106th with a time of 16:25.
Lily Harris finished 72nd in the junior/senior 2-mile girls’ event with a time of 21:20. Mackenzie Young came in 50th in the freshman/sophomore 2-mile girls’ event with a time of 18:06.
Marcus Sanders competed in the 8th-grade boys’ 2-mile event and finished 25th. His time for the event was 18:09.
Up next for the team is a meet in Hesston.
