The Peabody-Burns High School cross country team placed four runners in the top-10 Thursday in four divisions at the Hesston Invitational.
In the boys’ divisions, Kendall Wiebe was ninth in the senior run.
Aaron Topham was third for the juniors, and Sheldon Wiebe was sixth for the sophomores.
Lauren Pickens was eighth in the girls’ 4K freshman/sophomore division.
Wiebe took his ninth-place finish with a 5K-time of 18 minutes, five seconds.
Seth Methvin finished 23rd with a time of 20:56
Topham crossed the finish line with a time of 18:02 in third place.
The rest of the junior field included Josh Klarman at 15th with a time of 19:19, Curtis Frederick at 31st with a time of 20:58, and Chris Schafer 46th with a time of 22:56.
Wiebe, the only PBHS sophomore in the boys’ division, ran the course in 19:12 with a sixth-place finish.
The Lady Warrior freshman/sophomore girls were led by Lauren Pickens.
Amanda Pickens crossed the line in 58th with a time of 22:39 and, Heather Brooks was 68th with a time of 26:59.
