Dorothy A. Cleverley, unlawful acts regarding taxation of cigarettes and tobacco; first appearance hearing, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 4.
Debra S. Pickett, unlawful acts regarding taxation of cigarettes and tobacco; first appearance hearing, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 4.
Rojelio Cruz Hernandez II, defendant pleaded no contest to battery and was sentenced to a 30-day controlling sentence in the custody of the Marion County Sheriff and will be given credit for time served. The defendant was ordered to serve 10 days and placed on immediate unsupervised probation for one year. He is to have no contact with the victim and pay $138 court costs, a $10 booking fee, and a $45 court-appointed attorney fees. The defendant waived extradition.

Jordan Reid Allen pleaded guilty to theft valued less than $1,000 and was sentenced to a controlling sentence of 60 days in the custody of the Marion County Sheriff to be concurrent to sentencing in four other Marion County criminal cases. He was ordered to pay $138 in court costs, a $10 surcharge, court-appointed attorney fees as determined, and restitution of $21.50. All fees are to be paid within 30 days from release from jail.
Bethany M. Piper, first appearance hearing rescheduled to 9:45 a.m. Jan. 4.
Jordan Reid Allen pleaded guilty to theft valued less than $1,000 and was sentenced to a 60-day controlling sentence in the custody of Marion County Sheriff to be concurrent with four other criminal cases in Marion County. He was ordered to pay $138 court costs, a $10 surcharge, $8 restitution, and court-appointed attorney fees as determined. All fees are to be paid in full within 30 days from release from jail.
Cody L. McPhail, purchase or consumption of alcoholic liquor by a minor; upon motion of the county attorney, the case was dismissed with prejudice pursuant to a plea in another Marion County criminal case. Costs were assessed to the state.
Robert S. Henderson Jr., diversion status check hearing rescheduled to 1:15 p.m. Jan. 25.
Kenneth Jay Schwendiman pleaded not guilty to two counts of giving a worthless check; jury trial setting continued, pretrial conference, 10:15 a.m. Jan. 25.
Terry Scheuerman, upon motion by the county attorney, the court suspended the defendant’s bond and held him in Marion County Jail until he could be transported to Larned State Hospital for a competency evaluation.
Justin G. Hamlin was found guilty of possession of a hallucinogenic and ordered to a one-year supervised probation.
Steven Michael Detjen, nine counts of criminal use of a financial credit value less than $1,000 and two counts of attempted criminal use of a financial card; the defendant was sentenced to a six-month controlling sentence to run consecutive in the custody of Marion County Sheriff which was suspended. Defendant was placed on immediate supervised probation for one year with community corrections and cannot have contact with the victim, ordered to pay $138 court costs, $10 surcharge, $45 booking fee, $25 probation fee, court-appointed attorney fees as determined, and $3,246.53 in restitution to victim.
