Adrian Jarod Clay, 2704 College PO Box Ave., North Newton; status hearing held April 4 on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.

Charles W. Matthews, 102 W. Santa Fe St., Apt. 4, Marion; Daniel L. Baldwin withdrew as counsel March 14 with defendant not present; defendant ordered to appear in court April 10 or a bench warrant would be issued; defendant charged with criminal damage to property and battery.

Kimberly Joy Funk, 102 E. Kansas, Lehigh; March 30 status hearing on three counts of mistreatment of a dependant adult and seven counts of misdemeanor theft continued to April 10.

Jean Luc Taylor, 116 N. Jefferson, Hillsboro; domestic violence designation approved April 2 for criminal threat and battery; defendant ordered to have a domestic violence assessment.

Chase Albert Ray, 901 E. 11th, Newton; Feb. 15 preliminary hearing continued to March 7; bound over on a charge of possession of an hallucinogenic drug (marijuana) during March 7 preliminary hearing; defendant pleaded no-contest to possession of drug paraphernalia at arraignment April 2; possession of an hallucinogenic drug (marijuana) dismissed; defendant sentenced to six months of unsupervised probation, with conditions of consuming no alcohol or drugs during probation; defendant must submit to drug or alcohol tests at the request of law enforcement officers or court service officers; for each failed or refused test or admitted instance of drug or alcohol use, defendant to spend 48 hours in jail; defendant ordered to pay $138 court costs, $22 surcharge, $45 booking fee, and $200 fine.

Dawnyele N. Reynolds, 102 W. Santa Fe Apt. 3, Marion; jury trial held April 5, defendant found guilty of unlawfully hosting minors consuming alcoholic liquor or cereal malt beverage.
