Coyote criticism

To the editor:

The photo of the pickup bed full of dead, bloody coyotes was disturbing and sad. As one who has hunted animals for around 60 years, I was taught that if you kill it you eat it. This “hunt” sounds like a “boy’s club” contest that if successful will kill even more coyotes next year. The story did not give any reasons why the coyotes need to be eliminated.
