COVID-19 cases notch up 3

As of Tuesday evening, Marion County Health Department reported three new COVID cases this past week, with seven people in isolation.

This brings the total number of cases to 1,092 by the health department’s count. The death count for the county remains at 24.

Kansas Department of Health and Environment data, always different from county data, lists a total of 1,111 COVID cases for the county.

So far, the county has vaccinated 2,583 people.

The next vaccination clinic will be Tuesday. Anyone 18 or older who wants to schedule a vaccination on that day may call the health department at (620) 382-2550, or simply walk in to the health department during clinic hours.

The health department now gives Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines to anyone 18 and older, whether or not they live in the county.
