NEW JAILINGS

Paul F. Baatrup, 23, Wichita, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed 11 times for a total of 110 days between April 15, 2019, and April 28, 2024. Previous jailings were on court orders and on suspicion of violating offender registration three times.

William P. Castleberry, 46, Burns, arrested May 1 by the undersheriff on suspicion of battery. Released 30 minutes later after posting a $2,000 bond. Previously jailed Dec. 8 to 10 on court orders; Dec. 12 to 14, 2022, on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, child endangerment, and child abuse; and May 15, 2022, on suspicion of battery.

Desmond D. Daughrity, 36, Wichita, arrested Sunday by Hillsboro police on suspicion of two counts of possessing stimulants and one count each of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, without a license, and without a required anti-driving ignition interlock. Released 12 ½ hours later after posting a $20,000 bond.

Kevin D. Geier, 47, Wichita, jailed May 1 for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed Sept. 28 on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Jesse L. Marshall, 44, Wichita, arrested Friday by Marion police on suspicion of assault, criminal damage to property, and criminal trespassing. Held in lieu of a $2,500 bond. Previously jailed April 16 to 30 on suspicion of battery; Aug. 7 to 22 on court orders and on suspicion of transporting an open container of alcohol and of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol while his driver’s license was canceled, suspended, or revoked; April 22 to May 12, 2023, for allegedly violating his probation twice; and Oct. 7 2022, to Jan. 11, 2023, on suspicion of aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, making a criminal threat, criminal damage to property, battery of a law enforcement officer, interfering with law enforcement, and criminal trespassing.

Michael D. Rindt, 56, Lyndon, arrested Thursday by a sheriff’s deputy for failing to appear in court. Released Saturday on his own recognizance, promising to pay $10,000 if he failed to appear in court again. Previously jailed April 19, 2023, for failing to appear in court and Nov. 7, 2022, on suspicion of criminal trespassing and possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

William R. Shearer, 42, Florence, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed six times for a total of 11 days between Dec. 22, 2021, and April 29, 2024. Previously jailings were on court orders and on suspicion of violating his probation, twice violating an order of protection, possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container of alcohol, endangering a child, and twice driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Tyler J. Slater, 34, Peabody, jailed Sunday for five days on court orders. Previously jailed eight times for a total of 51 days between Sept. 22, 2018, and Nov. 7, 2023. Previous jailings were on court orders, for contempt of court, for allegedly violating his probation three times, for failing to appear in court twice, and on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, and domestic battery.

Jacob R. Stucky, 19, Halstead, jailed April 30 for seven days on court orders. Previously jailed Feb. 1 and 2 for failing to appear in court and Aug. 21 and 22 on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and possessing marijuana, a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.

Wayne L. Thompson, 66, Marion, arrested April 30 by the sheriff for allegedly violating his probation twice. Released three hours later after posting a $2,500 bond. Previously jailed March 27 on suspicion of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct; Dec. 16 to 21, 2022, for allegedly violating his probation three times; Dec. 10 and 11, 2022, on suspicion of transporting an open container of alcohol and a third offense of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, 2022, again on suspicion of driving under the influence and transporting an open container; and Aug. 20 to 23, 2022, on suspicion of the same charges.
