NEW JAILINGS

Brady. Blazek, 30, Hillsboro, jailed May 31 by a bounty hunter for failing to appear in court. Released 30 minutes later after posting a $2,000 bond. Previously jailed six times for a total of 91 days between Dec. 22, 2018, and Feb. 13, 2023. Previous jailings were twice at the request of the state Department of Corrections, once for contempt of court, once for failing to appear in court, and on suspicion of three times possessing drug paraphernalia; twice distributing stimulants, possessing stimulants, and illegally possessing a weapon as a felon; and once distributing drug paraphernalia, failing to report an accident, possessing marijuana and another controlled substance, and violating offender registration provisions and his probation.

Washington K. Chea, 33, Dallas, arrested Thursday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of having no vehicle liability insurance and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked. Released 35 hours later after posting $100 bail.

Dakota L. Dillashaw, 29, Florence, jailed Thursday for allegedly violating his probation. Released 10 hours later after posting a $7,500 bond. Previously jailed 14 times for a total of 210 days between June 12, 2017, and March 3, 2023. Previously jailings were on court orders five times, for failing to appear in court six times, for allegedly violating his probation two other times, and on suspicion of domestic battery, criminal damage to property, and violation of an order of protection from abuse.

Jason A. Felts, 44, Emporia, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy for allegedly violation probation. Released six hours later after posting a $5,000 bond. Previously jailed June 12 to 15, 2021, on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Andre B. Howard, 25, Newton, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed three times for a total of eight days between Aug. 1 and May 23. Previous jailings were on court orders once, for failing to appear in court twice, and for allegedly violating his probation twice.

Kelby J. Schmidt, 30, Halstead, jailed May 30 for allegedly violating his probation. Released three days later on his own recognizance after promising to pay $10,000 should he fail to appear in court. Previously jailed six times for a total of 23 days between Feb. 10, 2022, and April 30, 2023. Previous jailings were on court orders four times and on suspicion of criminal damage to property, attempted harassment by transmission of obscene material, reckless driving, interfering with law enforcement, and being a pedestrian under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Stephanie N. Wheatley, 36, Marion, arrested Friday by a sheriff’s deputy for failing to appear in court. Released two hours later after posting $500 bail.
