NEW JAILINGS

Joshua V. Catlin, 28, Florence, arrested Friday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of possessing hallucinogens, failing to appear in court, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked. Held in lieu of a $50 bail and a $1,000 personal recognizance promise.

Richard A. Ferran Jr., 42, Elbing, arrested Thursday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of violating driver’s license restrictions and failing to display license plates. Released 24 hours later after posting a $500 bond. Previously jailed Dec. 7 through 11 on suspicion of possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia, having no marijuana tax stamp, making an improper stop or turn signal, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Almeda G. Giroux, 21, Ramona, jailed Saturday for 24 hours on court orders. Previously jailed five times for a total of six days, all on court orders.

Riley D. Hicks, 19, Canton, arrested April 19 by Hillsboro police on a Marion County warrant accusing him of theft, theft of a firearm, and contributing to a child’s misconduct. Held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Bryce M. Jones, 26, Hutchinson, jailed April 19 for five days on court orders. Previously jailed five times for a total of 10 days between May 15, 2021, and Nov. 18, 2022. Previous jailings were on court orders twice, for allegedly violating his probation, and on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and transporting an open container of alcohol.

Charles R. Luchi, 69, Marion, arrested Sunday by a sheriff’s deputy for failing to appear in court. Released 27 hours later after posting a $2,500 bond. Previously jailed May 5 through 9, 2022, on suspicion of distributing stimulants, possessing drug paraphernalia and marijuana, having no marijuana tax stamp, and interfering with a law enforcement officer.

Jesse L. Marshall, 43, Wichita, arrested Saturday by a sheriff’s deputy for allegedly violating probation. Held without bond. Previously jailed Oct. 7 through Jan. 11 on suspicion of aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, making a criminal threat, criminal damage to property, battery of a law enforcement officer, interfering with a law enforcement, and criminal trespassing.

Michael D. Rindt, 55, Lyndon, jailed April 19 for failing to appear in court. Released 7½ hours later after posting a $10,000 bond. Previously jailed Nov. 7 on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia and of criminal trespassing.

William R. Shearer, 41, Florence, arrested Thursday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of violating an order or protection and an anti-stalking order. Released 18 hours later after posting a $20,000 bond. Previously jailed three times for a total of six days between Dec. 22, 2021, and Dec. 18, 2022. Previous jailings were on court orders and on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container of alcohol, endangering a child, and twice driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Tony L. Smith, 65, Wichita, jailed Monday for failing to appear in court. Released five hours later after posting a $10,000 bond.

Deanna N. Spencer, 43, Peabody, arrested Thursday by a sheriff’s deputy on a Harvey County warrant and suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Bond not set.
