NEW jailings

Glenn Acevedo, 28, Lake Elsinore, California, arrested July 1 by Hillsboro police on a warrant alleging indecent liberties with a child and interference with law enforcement. Held in lieu of $50,000 surety bond.

Ashley N. Campbell, 33, Herington, jailed to serve a two-day sentence for probation violation. Previously jailed May 24 for probation violation; Oct. 13 to 17 and Jan. 6 to 8, 2020, and Oct. 19 to 23, 2019, all on warrants for failure to appear in court; Oct. 6 to 7, on suspicion of criminal damage to property; Sept. 20 to 26, 2019, on a warrant for failure to appear in court; and March 16, 2019, on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving left of the centerline.

Jason C. Sandefur, 37, Salina, arrested Saturday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of domestic battery. Released Sunday on $2,500 surety bond. (UPDATE TO ORIGINAL STORY FROM JULY 7, 2021: No charges ever were filed.)

Evan M. Younger, 23, St. Joseph, Missouri, arrested Monday by Kansas Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving while his license was canceled and speeding. Released three hours later on $1,000 surety bond.
