NEW jailings

Samantha A. Adkins, 30, Hillsboro, arrested Monday on warrants alleging three counts of attempted bail enforcement unlawful acts, aggravated failure to appear in court, and three counts of failure to appear in court. Held in lieu of $71,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Oct. 21 to 23 for indirect contempt of court, Sept. 12 to 15 for failure to appear in court, and March 1 to 3, 2020, on suspicion of possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia with intent to use.

Kyle D. Bowen, 24, Wichita, jailed Friday on a warrant alleging probation violation. Held in lieu of $3,500 surety bond. Previously jailed Aug. 5 to 17 for probation violation, Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, 2019, to serve a sentence, Dec. 21 to 23, 2018, to serve a two-day sentence, July 30, 2018, for failure to appear in court, and May 11, 2018, on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Mark F. Coitrone, 29, Wichita, jailed Friday on a warrant alleging three counts of failure to appear in court. Held in lieu of $1,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Aug. 31, 2018 to Jan. 20, 2019 on suspicion of domestic battery, attempted battery, interference with law enforcement, and disobeying a protection from abuse order.

Matthew M. Frazier, 27, Peabody, jailed Thursday for reasons not listed on the jail roster. Previously jailed Dec. 2 to 9 to serve a week’s sentence, Sept. 20 on a warrant alleging failure to appear, Dec. 27, 2019, to Jan. 2, 2020, on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, theft, endangering a child, disorderly conduct, and interference with law enforcement, Nov. 8 to 18, 2019, to serve a Peabody court sentence, Aug. 13, 2019, on suspicion of domestic battery, June 11, 2019, on suspicion of disorderly conduct, assault, and interference with law enforcement, and April 14 to 16, 2019, on suspicion of domestic battery.

James J. Gillett, 47, McPherson, jailed Friday to serve a two-day sentence. Released Sunday. Previously jailed Sept. 25, 2019, for probation violation and Sept. 7 to 9, 2019, on suspicion of operating a car without an ignition interlock device, refusal to submit to test for alcohol, driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked, failure to display evidence of liability insurance, license plate not assigned, transporting an open container of alcohol, and driving under the influence third time in 10 years.

Spencer K. Hemmert, 29, Hays, arrested Thursday by Hillsboro police on suspicion of interference with judicial process, driving under the influence, and possession of stimulant. Released Friday on $2,500 surety bond.

Kara M. Holt, 32, Peabody, arrested Saturday by Peabody police on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with intent to use. Held in lieu of $2,500 bond.

Justice L. Johnson, 20, Goessel, arrested Saturday by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of burglary. Released Sunday on his own recognizance. Previously jailed Oct. 15 to 17 to serve a two-day sentence from Goessel Municipal Court.

John A. Ottensmeier, 38, Marion, jailed Friday to serve a two-day sentence. Released Sunday. Previously jailed Oct. 19 on suspicion of driving under the influence and failure to report an accident.
