NEW jailings

Kevin C. Chapin, arrested Dec. 1 by Hillsboro police on an outstanding warrant from another county. Released seven hours later.

Matthew M. Frazier, 26, Peabody, jailed Dec. 2 to serve a two-day sentence. Previously jailed Sept. 20 for probation violation and failure to appear in court, Dec. 27, 2019, to Jan. 2 on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, theft, endangering a child, interference with law enforcement, and disorderly conduct, Nov. 10 to 18, 2019, to serve a 10-day Peabody municipal court sentence, August 13, 2019, on suspicion of domestic battery, June 11, 2019, on suspicion of disorderly conduct, assault, and interference with law enforcement, and April 14 to 16, 2019, on suspicion of domestic battery.

Bryan T. Grosse, 40, Marion, arrested Monday by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. No bond set. He was also arrested Thursday by sheriff’s deputies on a warrant alleging probation violation and released an hour later on $1,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Nov. 23 on a warrant alleging probation violation, Sept. 19 to 20 on assorted drug charges, Jan. 22 for failure to appear in court, Dec. 13, 2019, for driving without a license, June 15 to 17, 2019, for failure to appear in court, and Nov. 5 to 6, 2018, on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage to property, and theft.

Richard T. Litton, 35, Peabody, arrested Dec. 2 on warrants alleging failure to appear and probation violation. Held in lieu of $17,500 surety bond. Previously jailed Oct. 8 on suspicion of domestic battery and interference with law enforcement, May 13 to June 5 to serve a court sentence, Jan. 9 to 10 on suspicion of domestic battery, Nov. 30 to Dec. 11, 2019 on a warrant alleging aggravated failure to appear in court, Nov. 3 to 11, 2019, on suspicion of domestic battery, Oct. 10 to 11, 2019, on suspicion of battery and interference with law enforcement, and Feb. 1 to April 4, 2018, on suspicion of disorderly conduct, falsely reporting a crime, aggravated assault, assault of a law enforcement officer, endangering a child, and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Donald J. Miller, 30, Florence, arrested Monday by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana. No bond set. Previously jailed Nov. 19 to 23, on a warrant alleging failure to appear in court, Jan. 6 to 8, Dec. 11 to 13, 2019, Sept. 3 to 4, 2019, July 24 to 25, 2019, Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, 2019, Dec. 29 to 30, 2018, June 5 to 6, 2018, and June 4, 2018, mostly for failure to appear in court.

Mark E. Sattler, 54, Newton, jailed Monday on a warrant seeking bond revocation. Held with no bond. Previously jailed July 8, 2019, to July 22, on suspicion of aggravated burglary, criminal threat, criminal restraint, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license canceled, suspended or revoked, and Dec. 6, 2017 to March 1, 2018, for parole violation.

Cameron N. Spohn, 18, Tampa, arrested Monday by sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of criminal carry of weapons, operating a vehicle without a valid license, transporting an open container of alcohol, possession of liquor by a minor, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Released three hours later on $2,000 surety bond.

Julie E. Starks, 38, Marion, arrested Friday by Marion police on charges of criminal deprivation of a motor vehicle, battery on a law enforcement officer, and disorderly conduct. She was held in lieu of $7,500 bond. She attempted suicide by hanging Saturday and was transported by ambulance while still alive, but was pronounced dead Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Previously jailed June 29 to Sept. 10 on warrants alleging four counts of failure to appear in court and suspicion of interference with law enforcement, Jan. 5, 2018, on suspicion of possession of hallucinogenic drugs and drug paraphernalia, and Nov. 30 to Dec. 1, 2017, on suspicion of arson and falsely reporting a crime.
