County gets economic training grant

Marion County is one of six Kansas counties that will receive technical assistance and training for economic development from a $200,000 grant from U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Community Development Initiative Program. Assistance will include community and entrepreneurship coaching, succession planning for businesses, and education and networking with local, regional, state, and national resources.

Other counties benefiting from the grant are Chase, Greeley, Greenwood, Norton, and Wichita counties.
