CORRESPONDENTS: Wonsevu: Snellings help celebrate first birthday

Dale and Tootsie Snelling attended their great-granddaughter Kinsley Lespagnard’s first birthday Aug. 11 in Haysville, daughter of Brandon and Breanna Lespagnard, Greenwood, Mo. After the party, the Snellings visited Mark and Leann Lewman, Kiana and Levi, of Sedgwick. Kiana and Levi came home with the Snellings and spent the week with them. Other visitors to the Snelling farm were Seth Snelling and Molly and Emmy Hess, Marion.

The Snellings hosted the senior dinner Aug. 11 in Burns. Tootsie presented a program on tagging monarch butterflies. On Saturday, they took their grandchildren home and attended a retirement party for Dean Staver in Wichita.

Hazel Clothier met her daughter and grandson, Theresa Hill and Heath, for lunch Friday in Marion.

Bill and Margie Williams and Hazel Clothier attended the Farm Bureau dinner Saturday in Marion. Each of them won a door prize.

Justin and Sara Smith Lane, Colt, and Julian were Sunday guests of Lonnie and Sharon Smith.

Doni Rogers attended the senior dinner Aug. 11 at the Burns Community Center. Her houseguests from Aug. 11 to Thursday were Sue and Ian Imrie of Kilgore, Texas.

Supper guests of Everett and Janet Cress Aug. 11 were Shealah Gulick, Dave West, Newton; Mike Kathy and West, Ashville, N.Y.; Brandon and Carri Cress, Hunter and Montana, Cedar Point. Annette and Darin Weems, Peabody, were Thursday supper guests. Hunter and Montana Cress were Saturday overnight guests. On Sunday, Everett and Janet attended a cookout at Swope Park for Mike and Kathy West.

Carl and Becca Williams, Wamego, were Saturday afternoon visitors of Bill and Margie Williams. Bill and Margie met Gary Williams, Terry Stienbacher, Neva Hicks, Wil and Gayla Soyez and Samantha, and Carl and Becca Williams on Sunday in Newton. The group celebrated Wil and Gayla’s birthdays.
