CORRESPONDENTS: Wonsevu news: Get-well wishes extended

Wonsevu correspondent

We extend get-well wishes to Tonya Soyez at this time. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Our wish is that all mothers and grandmothers had a very special Mother’s Day.

Hazel Clothier met her daughter, Teresa Hill, Friday at Marion and they ate lunch at a local restaurant.

Hazel and Linda Heath ate lunch Thursday at a restaurant in Newton.

Bill and Margie Williams met Elizabeth of Emporia Tuesday for lunch at a restaurant. We enjoyed a time of visiting.

Bill and Margie attended a come and go party Saturday for our grandson, Elliot Soyez, for his graduation at the home of his parents, Will and Gayla Soyez of Goddard. Elliot will attend Wichita State University and play golf.

We extend congratulations to all graduates, wishing them much success on the next phase of their journey.

Doni Rogers attended Peabody High School band concert and barbecue Thursday evening at Peabody. Doni said the meal was good and the sixth grade band was good, too.

Doni went to Burns Friday to the café for a graduation party for Carol Osgood. Congratulations Carol.

Doni attended a graduation ceremony Sunday at Cottonwood Falls. Later, she visited Steve and Sharon Griffin in Cottonwood Falls.

Mother’s Day guests of Dale and Tootsie Snelling were Mark and Leann Lewman of Sedgwick. They brought dinner for them. Dean Snelling of Goessel also was there.

Dale and Tootsie went to Marion Thursday to a Marion Middle School concert. Their granddaughter, Karly Hess, was in the program.

Lonnie and Sharon Smith had a celebration for Julia’s graduation from Butler Community College of El Dorado. They had a reception at Toronto Lake for family and friends. Justin and Sara Smith, Lane and Colt of Marion and other family members were there. Congratulations, Julia, and good luck.

Have a good week!
