Justin and Sara Smith and Lane of Marion and Julia Smith were Sunday guests of Lonnie and Sharon Smith. The group went to the Prairie Rose to hear Michael Martin Murphey.

Guests of Everett and Janet Cress since Wednesday were Terry Bruington of Olathe, Eldon Cress and Eldon’s friend, Cody, both of Emporia, and Gary Guelter of Burns.

Mark and Levi Snelling of Sedgwick were weekend guests of Dale and Tootsie Snelling. They celebrated Levi’s birthday. He got a deer on his birthday. So, he’s a happy little 8-year-old. We extend birthday wishes to Levi and wish him many more birthdays.

We extend sympathy to the family of Tiffiny Harper. We know she will be missed by her family and friends and all who knew her.

Doni Rogers visited Kathleen Brenzikofer Friday in Newton. Doni said she was doing really well.

Sunday dinner guests of Bill and Margie Williams were Gary Williams, and Carl and Becca Williams of Wamego.

Hazel Clothier met her daughter, Teresa Hill, for lunch Friday at a restaurant in Marion.

Hazel went with Linda and Joe to Winfield Friday evening to see the Trail of Lights. Later they stopped by Augusta to see the Trail of Lights there.

Hazel visited Chub Pinkson Sunday. He’s recuperating from knee surgery. Later she stopped by Betty and Mason Fetrow’s and visited with them.
