Denise Lang’s daughter, Jaimie, returned home last week from Atlanta, Ga. She attended a youth leadership forum on medicine at Emery University.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Lorraine Walker. She was a member of the Cedar Point community for several years.
Doni Rogers went to Hutchinson July 4 and ate lunch with her cousins. Later, she went to Victory Village for a birthday reception for Bill Cowell. She came home and watched fireworks on T.V.
Everett and Janet Cress spent July 1 through 3 at an auction in Jamesport, Mo. Everett found an authentic John Deere box wagon. There were many Amish things sold including old buggies and a chuck wagon.
Dean Snelling and Lonnie Powers of Goessel were guests of Dale and Tootsie Snelling July 1. They fished and set lines. They had a fish fry July 2 and Lonnie Rogers came to eat and visit.
Brandon, Brianna, and Kinsley Lespagrand of Greenwood and Tammy Snelling and Tristen of Marion went to the Snellings for a cookout and fireworks July 3.
Hazel Clothier met her daughter and granddaughter, Teresa Hill and Cassidy, of Marion, July 3 at a restaurant for lunch.

Teresa, Kevin, and Cassidy gave a birthday celebration July 5 for Hazel’s 89th birthday. Others in attendance were Pat Sauble, Ivan and Margaret Morgan and Pat and Janet Post, all of Burns, Lee Dalyrymple and Linda Skiles of Marion, Joe and Linda Heath and Lenora Smith, all of Florence, and Billy Joe and Margie Williams. They served homemade chocolate and strawberry ice cream and cake.
Dinner guests July 3 of Bill and Margie Williams was their grandson, Carl Williams, of Wamego.
Bill and Margie attended a Fourth of July cookout and fireworks at the home of Will and Gayla Soyez and Elliot and Samantha at Florence. There were many friends and relatives there. The children played a game of softball before eating.
