Dale and Tootsie Snelling and Dean spent Sept. 5 and 6 in Salina for the funeral of Tootsie’s niece, Janet Deneauld.
After Denaeuld’s funeral, Richard and Judy Richmond, Tootsie’s brother and sister-in-law from Tampa, Fla., spent Sept. 6 with the Snelling family.
On Thursday, Dale and Tootsie went to Sedgwick to see two of their granddaughters play volleyball: Kelli Hess of Marion and Kiana Lewman of Sedgwick.
Also on Thursday, Margie and Bill Williams attended the visitation for Ernestine Hurdle at Zeiner Funeral Home.
On Friday, the Snellings, Williamses, and Hazel Clothier went to a funeral for Hurdle at Florence Christian Church.
Doni Rogers went to Rick and Nancy Griffin’s for a birthday party for Rick.
Clothier met her daughter, Teresa Hill, at Marion for lunch.
Bill and Margie visited Neva Hicks on Saturday in Maize at the Assisted Living Center.
Sunday dinner guests of the Williamses were grandson Carl Williams and his wife Becca of Wamego.
Bill and Margie Williams went to Arkansas on Sept. 1 and spent the night with Thelma Thigpen in Little Rock on Sept. 2, they went to Hampton, Ark., where they spent two nights at a motel.
On Sept. 3, they went to the Margie’s family reunion, which had a good crowd. Margie got to see her cousins from California and Benton, Ark., and many other cousins.
On Sept. 4, Thelma Thigpen and Margie went to the Church Union Grove Assembly and saw other people they knew growing up. After Church, they ate dinner with Bill’s sisters — Lola Smith, Mary and Sylvia Williams — at Harrell. They visited Thelma’s family on the fourth and returned home Sept. 6.
