Cassidy Hill takes reserve champion

Cassidy Hill of rural Marion and her dog, Cheyenne, received a reserve champion ribbon in showmanship at the American Royal 4-H Dog Show on Sept. 25 in Kansas City, Mo. Cassidy is the granddaughter of Hazel Clothier. Her mom is Teresa Clothier Hill.

Everett and Janet Cress visited Janet’s cousins Oct. 5, as well as Sandi Cunningham’s brother and sisters, Gene Cunningham from Arizona, Sharon and Lee Cunningham and Lynn Cunningham from Hot Springs, Ark.

Everett and Janet met Rylee and Kean Ownsby on Oct. 8 in Newton and they saw a movie. After the movie they went to the home of Shannon and Randy Foster at Newton and saw their great-grandchildren, Oliver and Harper.

Everett and Janet had their cattle working crew at their place Oct. 9. Those helping were Annette and Ashley Weems of Peabody; Dennis Prewitt of Towanda; Greg and Ashley Ballew of Burns; and Sandi Cunningham, Rodney Charelston, and Brandon and Hunter Cress, of Cedar Point.

Dinner guests of Bill and Margie Williams on Oct. 9 were Gary Williams and Neva Hicks of Wichita, and Myra of Okmulgee, Okla.

In the evening, Bill and Margie attended a card party hosted by Larry and Peggy Hanes at Carriage Manor in Florence.

Carl and Becca Williams of Wamego were dinner guests Oct. 10 of Bill and Margie Williams.

Dale and Tootsie Snelling went to the middle school football game Oct. 7 at Marion to see their grandson, Seth Snelling, play.

Hazel Clothier met her daughter, Teresa Hill, for lunch Oct. 8 in Marion. Kathleen O’Barnay joined them.

Doni Rogers attended the farewell potluck supper Oct. 10 for Don and Laverna Parrish at the Burns Community Building. Sandi Cunningham accompanied her.
