Peabody Senior Center site manager

Rodger Charles of the Peabody Township Library will speak after lunch today on the many changes and updates coming to the library.

Bingo will be played Thursday. Bring a couple of cans of food for donation to the food bank.

The Marion County Senior Citizens Board will hold its May meeting in Florence. Contact Judy Mellott or the Marion County Area Agency on Aging to register for the event.

A holiday brunch will be served at 9:30 a.m. May 24. It will feature a breakfast casserole with a piece of coffee cake or cinnamon roll.

The center will be closed May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. Anyone wishing to have a frozen meal may contact the center at 983-2226 before May 21. The meal will be delivered on May 23 with the regular deliveries.

The center is sponsoring a breakfast fundraiser from 7 to 9 a.m. June 1. Biscuits and gravy with cinnamon rolls will be available by donation.

Meals are served at 11:45 a.m. each weekday for a cost of $3.15 for those 60 and above or $5 for others.

Friday — Chicken salad sandwich, potato salad, mixed fruit cup, sugar cookie.

Monday — Chicken pot pie, marinated vegetable salad, fruit, wheat bread.

Tuesday — Country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sliced peaches, wheat bread.

May 22 — Pork roast, baked potato, spinach, Jell-O cake with whipped topping, wheat bread.

May 23 — Taco salad or hamburger on a bun, fruit, skim milk.
