Cathy Foote of Manhattan and Kristen and Sophie Wilds of South Carolina came to the home of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale Thursday. They all went to Moundridge to watch Casey Nightengale run in cross-country.

Josh and Ashley Wiebe and Seth joined other family members Sunday at the grandparent’s farm, Ben and Betty Krehbiel, at Moundridge for a wiener roast.

Nathan and Ella Koehn were Sunday dinner guests of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee. Ella is doing as well as can be expected. We wish her well.

Dusty Gaines of Wichita was a Sunday afternoon caller of his parents, Ronnie and Patti. Maude Gaines is still a patient at St. Luke Hospital in Marion. We hope she soon will return.

Jessica Sayers entered the hospital Saturday in Wichita. She returned home Tuesday. Get well quick. Lawrence and Lois Sayers visited his sister, Mary Archer, Thursday in Cottonwood falls.

This past Tuesday, Laverna Parrish, Beverly Morgan, Evelyn Sidener, and Joyce Kyle attended the Senior Fair in Salina. The Marion County Senior Citizens board nominated Joyce as the Marion County Lady at the Senior Fair. What an honor I was treated “royally.”

Joyce met Earl and Louise Mercer of Clyde, Texas, Friday evening at the Burns Café. We had an enjoyable visit. They are the parents of my daughter-in-law.

LaVonne Ammeter, Sherol Nightengale, and Joyce Kyle attended a Twentieth Century Club meeting Monday at the home of Marie Clark.
