Marvin and Sherol Nightengale left May 8 and traveled to the home of Jim and Linda Hess, Allie, and Amelia in Kearney, Mo. Mitch and Cathy Foote joined them. Roger and Laura Nightengale were Mother’s Day guests. Marvin and Sherol returned home May 9.
Mother’s Day dinner guests of Lawrence and Lois Sayers were Sandy Sayers of El Dorado and Bruce and Melody Sayers and Jessica of Cassoday.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Dusty Gaines of Wichita, and Ty and Kim Gaines and Brooke of Madison met May 8 in El Dorado. The next day they ate dinner at the home of Ronnie and Patti.
Nathan Koehn was a supper guest May 11 of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee.
Joyce Kyle met her cousins, Ron and Georganna Larkin, of Georgetown, Texas, May 7 in El Dorado. They had lunch and visited.
Joyce had Mother’s Day breakfast at church provided by the men of the church. Dinner was served at the home of Glenn and Daytha Langenegger for Mary and Gary Langenegger, Greg and Zeola Langenegger, Daniel and Emily Unruh, Amber Langenegger, Andy Hansen, and Laura Humig. Joyce received calls from her son, Wayne, and grandson.
Twenty-six Burns senior citizens, friends, and attorney Christy Campbell of Kansas Legal Services for Senior Citizens gathered for the monthly potluck dinner at Burns Community Building. Campbell provided information about the services offered by the agency. After the presentation, the seniors held the monthly meeting. The menu for the county board meeting in June was discussed.
