Burns senior citizens met March 2 for a monthly potluck dinner. Gayla Ratzlaff arrived early to help with applications for Homestead and Food Sales Tax refunds. Attending the dinner were the Rev. Jim Bush, Dale and Tootsie Snelling, Calvin and Esta Hall, Sandi Cunningham, Doris Rogers, LaVonne Ammeter, Beverly Morgan, Evelyn Sidener, James Olberding, Carl Riggs, Lowell Larsen, Everett and Janet Cress, Ray Robinson, Ryan Johnson, Ken Perry, Tim Robertson, Albert Gustainus, John Schmidt, Mike Morgan, Cindy Jackson, Colleen Brunner, Diane Nelson, Gayla Ratzlaff, and Joyce Kyle. USD 398 Superintendent Rex Watson presented information about the financial condition of the district.
After the dinner and program, Dale and Tootsie Snelling hosted a surprise 75th birthday party for Doni Rogers. Cake was served. Marjorie Williams, Delores Mann, Robin Morgan, Kay Clark, and Teresa and Fern Goodwin also joined the party.
