Lawrence Sayers was taken by ambulance to Susan B. Allen Hospital in El Dorado Feb. 4. It was a light stroke and he returned home the following day. Mike, Sylvia, and Kimberly Sayers of Colorado Springs came Feb. 5. They returned to their home Feb. 7. Mike and his family, Sylvia’s sister and husband, Kaylene and Kenny Miller of White City; Bruce and Melody Sayers, and Jessica of Cassoday; and Sandy Sayers of El Dorado were guests Feb. 6.
Guests of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale Feb. 6 and 7 were Mitch and Cathy Foote of Manhattan and Brad and Diane Nightengale and Casey of El Dorado. They celebrated Marvin’s birthday.
Marvin and Sherol attended Casey’s ball game Feb. 2 in El Dorado.
Dayrl Bender of Grant, Neb., visited his grandfather Vernon Koehn and other relatives Feb. 6. He and Vernon were supper guests that evening of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee. They met at Vernon and Judy’s for dinner Feb. 7. Dayrl left that afternoon.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines met Ty and Kim Gaines and Brooke Feb. 5 in Cottonwood Falls. Brooke went home with them and entertained them until Feb. 7, when they met her parents in El Dorado. Dusty Gaines visited Feb. 6.
Burns senior citizens met Feb. 9 for a potluck dinner. A small group saw “show and tell.” Several articles were shown with the history discussed. Attending the meal were the Rev. Jim Bush, Calvin and Esta Hall, James Olberding, Lowell Larsen, Doni Rogers, Sandi Cunningham, Evelyn Sidener, Beverly Morgan, Albert Gustainus, Jandee Moore, Cindy Jackson, Colleen Bruner, and Joyce Kyle. The next meeting will be March 9 with Dale and Tootsie Snelling as hosts.
