Al and Bonnie Plummer and Al’s sister, Kay Hall of Newton, went to Topeka Nov. 7 to watch the Plummer’s granddaughters, Alyson and Abby Voelker, participate in a cheerleading contest. Their team won third place. Others attending were Martin and Kayme Voelker of Nixa, Mo.; Nancy Heckart and Grace and Jessica of Omaha, Neb.; and Maria West and John Paul of Merriam.

In the evening, Al and Bonnie joined a group of 18 former Homestead Church members in for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner.

Shelby Plummer went to Oakley Nov. 7 to attend the wedding of a friend.

Lawrence and Lois Sayers picked up Joyce Kyle Nov. 7 and went to Grandview Park in Florence for Autumn Padgett’s birthday party.

Ronnie and Patti Gaines had lunch with Dusty Gaines in Wichita Nov. 8. In the afternoon, they attended the 80th birthday party for Joyce Barker.

Sherol and Marvin Nightengale also attended Joyce’s birthday party.

Nathan Koehn was a dinner guest Nov. 8 of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee.

Bob Kyle called on Joyce Kyle Nov. 5.

Joyce attended a Veterans Day celebration at church Nov. 8. She called at the Howard Wedel and Glenn Kyle homes in the early afternoon. Rose Forgy, Melissa, and Ryan called on her later in the afternoon.

In the evening, Joyce accompanied Carol Callahan to the Florence Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

Joyce went to the senior citizens gathering in Burns Nov. 10.
