Burns correspondent
Mark and Carolyn Bender and children of Mifflinburg, Pa. arrived July 19 at the home of Mark’s grandfather and aunt, Vernon and Judy Koehn. Supper guests were Renferd and Wanda Koehn and Carolee; Dalen and Bethany Koehn; Luanna Isaac; Rose Forgy and Ryan; and Janarro Jantz, Kaylee, Shawna, and Jesse. On July 20, Vernon and Judy Koehn and the Benders were dinner guests of the Renferd Koehns.
The Benders came to Kansas for the wedding of Carolyn’s brother July 22 at Halstead. Carolee Koehn accompanied Stacey Koehn to the wedding. Darrell and Linda Bender of Madrid, Neb. stopped by Vernon’s July 21.
All the Benders, Renferd and Wanda, and Lonnie and Carolee had supper July 22 with Vernon and Judy. The Benders left July 23 after supper at Vernon and Judy’s.
Dave and Shirley Smith of Wichita visited Lawrence and Lois Sayers on July 20. The next day, Sandy Sayers of El Dorado and Megan Sayers of Burns visited them.
Gloria Handle of Baxter Springs, Jarret Johnson of Marion, and Ashley Reed and children of Wichita were supper guests July 19 of Marie Clark.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Terry and Deanne Warhurst of Newton, Dusty Gaines of Wichita, and Aaron Warhurst and his daughter, Reese, of Kansas City helped Brooke Gaines celebrate her sixth birthday July 22 at the home of her parents, Ty and Kim Gaines at Madison.
James Olberding and Joyce Kyle attended the Marion County Senior Citizens board meeting July 20 in Lincolnville.
