Burns correspondent
Martin and Kayme Voelker, Alyson and Abby of Nixa, Mo., arrived at the home of her parents, Al and Bonnie Plummer on May 23. On May 26, they and Taylor and Shelby Pyeatte of Haysville attended the car show in Burns. They had a cookout that evening, and Kay Hall of Newton joined them. The Voelkers returned home May 27.
Mike and Sylvia Sayers of Colorado Springs, Colo., came to the home of Lawrence and Lois Sayers and Bruce the afternoon of May 27. Sandy Sayers joined them May 28. Mike and Sylvia left the morning of May 29.
Josh and Ashley Wiebe, Seth, Faith, and Devon joined all of Ashley’s brothers and sisters at the home of her parents, Gary and Monica Thiessen, for a Memorial Day dinner.
Mitch and Cathy Foote and Linda and Amelia Hess were Memorial Day weekend guests of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale. Norma Riggs called in the afternoon on May 27. The Nightengale’s granddaughter, Laura Nightengale, and friend Taylor Williamson, called on May 29.
Marie Clark was a Memorial Day supper guest of Mack and Shayla Clark, Hadlye, Bayleigh Clark who was home for the weekend, and Steve Thorburn of Ellsworth.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Kenny and Roma Koehn, Jeff and Jill Koehn and girls, Shawn and Jean Koehn and boys, and Todd and Terry Moddlemog and family camped out at Marion County Park and Lake over Memorial Day weekend.
Vernon and Judy Koehn went to Moundridge on May 27 and called on Harvey and Irma Koehn at Pine Village and then went to Moundridge Manor and called on Jake Koehn, Richard Koehn and his brother, Elmer, and Ivan Schmidt.
Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle went to cemeteries the afternoon of May 26, and stopped at Wheat State Manor and called on Bernie Vestring, who was looking well. On May 28, they went to Moundridge to the home of Jim and Beulah Gering and toured the cemeteries of their grandparents and other relatives.
Marie and Bayleigh Clark called on Joyce Kyle May 28.
