Bridal shower fetes Shandra Thiessen

Ashley Wiebe joined other family at a bridal shower in McPherson for her sister, Shandra Thiessen, bride-elect of Ben Wiebe.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale recently visited Mitch and Cathy Foote in Manhattan. They also attended the state 2A basketball tournament. Marvin’s 1953 basketball team was honored.
A birthday party was March 11 to celebrate Marie Clark’s (Mrs. Bill Clark) birthday at Vintage Place in El Dorado. Attending were Marvin and Sherol Nightengale, Marie Clark (Mrs. Ike Clark), Norma Riggs, Margaret Matz, Sonny and Joan Clark, John and Michelle Banks and granddaughter Katy and family, and Clyde and Virginia Waggy.
Josh and Ashley Wiebe, Seth, and Faith attended the state 2A basketball tournament March 10 and 12 in Manhattan. Berean Academy won the tournament.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines met Ty and Kim Gaines and Brooke on March 14 in Emporia. They brought Brooke home with them to spend the week.
Nathan Koehn and Dalen and Beth Koehn were dinner guests March 13 of Renferd and Wanda Koehn and Lonnie.
Raven Bidwell had her tonsils and adenoids removed March 10. Bonnie Plummer was with her father and mother, Jeremy and Hayley Bidwell, at the hospital. Al and Bonnie Plummer helped the family move into a new home March 13 and 14 in El Dorado.
Martin and Kayme Voelker, Allie, and Abby of Nixa, Mo., visited the Plummers March 11 while on their way to Colorado for spring break. Kay Hall of Newton joined them. They ate supper out at Burns.
The First Mennonite Church Senior Fellowship and Bible Study was March 15 at Presbyterian Manor in Newton. Attending were the Rev. Arlen Busenitz, David and Wilma Thiessen, Howard and Darlene Goering, the Rev. Elmer Reimer and wife Tina, Dan and Alice Stucky, Mike and Larry Spachek, Doni Rogers, Mary Langenegger, Phyllis Mitchell, Esther Stucky, Howard Hess, and Joyce Kyle.
