CORRESPONDENTS: Ammeter news: LaVonne is recuperating

Contributing writer

Blaine Ammeter arrived a week ago Tuesday at the Ammeter farm to take care of me. Melody had been with me since Friday. Blaine went home Friday morning.

Eric Magette and Matthew of Eudora arrived Saturday morning at the Ammeter farm to spend the day and overnight. This great-grandma really did enjoy them. Matthew loves the farm so! Melody and Steve Magette of Dodge City arrived late in the afternoon to spend the night. Stan Ammeter was a dinner guest.

Bonnie Richards, Betty Wagner, and Myrtle Jackson of El Dorado visited LaVonne Saturday afternoon. Sure did enjoy them.

Michele Montgomery of Florence visited LaVonne Saturday morning.

Eric and Matthew, Melody, Steve, and LaVonne took out for Ellsworth Sunday morning to attend the baptism of Elyse Haxton, daughter of Kevin and Emily Haxton. We attended church, then went to a park and had a picnic dinner with the Haxton and Magette families. Sure was a lovely service and such a good time. Got to see great-grandson Avery, too. What a great day.

Melody and Steve brought me home and did so many things for me. They headed home late that afternoon.

Michele Boese and Dylan visited me Monday afternoon.

I had home health and physical therapy Tuesday afternoon. I do appreciate them. Marion has a wonderful home health department and physical therapy department. They’re the best!

I get real bored and will be so glad when I can drive again. Doing things with your left arm are a challenge.
