Contributing writer

On March 14, Steve and Melody Magette of Ellsworth went to the Ammeter farm and took LaVonne Ammeter to Newton for a medical appointment. They ate lunch in Newton, brought LaVonne back home, and returned to Ellsworth.

Stan Ammeter took LaVonne to Marion to pick up her tax return on March 15. After arriving home, LaVonne received a call from Myron who reported his knee was healing.

On March 16, Steve and Melody Magette returned to take LaVonne to Newton for another medical appointment. After she finished, they ate lunch and returned to Peabody to do some shopping. At the farm, the Magettes cleaned out LaVonne’s flowerbeds and Melody did some cleaning in the house.

Carol Ammeter and B. J. arrived at LaVonne’s on Saturday to move B. J.’s belongings out of the basement. Stan Ammeter and Kevin Strotkamp came and helped. LaVonne fell, but was not hurt. John and Dylan Boese stopped by in the afternoon to check on her.

On March 18, Blaine and Carol came from Manhattan and spent the afternoon at the Ammeter farm. Stan Ammeter and Michele Hartnagal of Florence also stopped to visit awhile. Blaine was recovering well from his heart attack of a couple of weeks ago.

On March 20, Steve and Melody Magette came back to visit and to take LaVonne to Marion for a doctor’s appointment. They returned to Peabody for medicine and groceries. Back at the farm, they did several jobs that needed to be done. Stan Ammeter also stopped by to help.
