LaVonne Ammeter announced that her 10th great-grandchild, Lucas Adam Magette, was born on July 1. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. Mother and baby are doing well.
LaVonne decorated the birthday cake for Legacy Park and delivered it July 2. She visited Emma Shaw, Donna Robb, Dorothy Whisler, Ruth Arnold, and Roy Manka. She watched them play bingo.
Kenton and Taryn Wiebe visited July 2. Later Kerrie Wiebe visited.
LaVonne talked to Carolyn July 2. Jack had surgery and is doing as well as he can.
Marie Clark visited LaVonne the morning of July 3. In the afternoon, LaVonne went to Marion for a doctor’s appointment. Kenton and Taryn Wiebe visited in the evening.
Mary Sue Holmes of Lexington, Va., spent the night July 3 at the Ammeter farm. She had visited her mother in Wichita. Mary Sue and LaVonne went to Wichita and visited Jack at a hospital. Jack was doing better. Jacob Foster of Sand Spring, Okla., had arrived to visit Grandma Carolyn and help her. Later, LaVonne and Mary Sue picked blackberries.
Mary Sue left early to visit Becky and the Morgan kids in Great Bend July 4. LaVonne went to Marion to the dentist and shopping. Michele Montgomery from Florence visited LaVonne.
Michele Boese and Dylan visited in the late afternoon of July 4. Eric and his girlfriend, Erin of El Dorado, came to pick blackberries and visited afterward. B.J. also helped.
