Donella Humphries and LaVonne Ammeter attended the funeral of Melinda Gaines April 1 in El Dorado. Donella and Blaine, Stan, and B.J. Ammeter were supper guests.
Blaine Ammeter visited the Ammeter farm April 1.
LaVonne went to Peabody April 1. Eric Boese and his girlfriend, Erin of El Dorado, visited in the evening.
LaVonne went shopping April 3 in Marion. Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood and Todd Ammeter of Claflin spent the night and Easter with LaVonne. Stan came for supper April 4.
Church services were at Summit April 4 with the Rev. David Ragland. Donna Ramsey, Ethan, and Alex visited LaVonne and went to church with her Easter Sunday. Dinner guests were Blaine, Carol, Todd, B.J., Stan, and John and Dylan Boese. Blaine and Todd went home in the afternoon.
LaVonne’s niece, Mary Sue Holm of Fairfield, Va., and Alexis, Adria, and C.J. Morgan, her nephew and nieces of Great Bend, visited LaVonne, B.J., and Stan April 5. They stayed for lunch and then left for Great Bend.
LaVonne went to Burns to meet Mary Glenn and Fern Goodwin. They attended election school and picked up election ballots for the April 6 election.
The women opened the election site April 6 for the Burns City Council election. Despite stormy weather, 27 voters turned out. Mary and LaVonne took the ballots to Marion for tallying.
Mary Sue spent the night April 6 and 7 with LaVonne.
