Families visit relatives from Minnesota

B.J. Ammeter took Opal Craney and LaVonne Ammeter to Manhattan March 30 to visit Myron and Sally Ammeter. They stayed the night and next morning, visiting Doug and Amy Drake and Daniel of Minnesota. The Drakes were visiting Amy’s parents, who also visited Marion County relatives. Chad and Angela Bunger, Collin, and Mitchell were supper guests March 30. The group returned home March 31 after the Drakes headed back to Minnesota. LaVonne’s niece, Anna Watts of Agency, Mo., came to LaVonne’s home later in the evening to stay the night.
George and Rose Watts of Agency, Mo., and Carolyn Holm of Wichita arrived at the Ammeter farm April 1 to spend the day. The group went out to eat in Burns. The Missouri visitors returned home later in the afternoon. Carolyn stayed for supper. Anna has left for India for two years of missionary and medical work.
Chris and Donna Ramsey, Alex, and Ethan visited LaVonne on April 2. They went to Stan Ammeter’s house. LaVonne went to Peabody later in the evening to shop.
Joyce Kyle and Fern Goodwin picked up LaVonne on April 4 and they attended election training at Marion County Lake Hall. They also picked up the ballots for Election Day, April 5. Michele Boese came to LaVonne’s home later in the evening to visit and to tell LaVonne about her trip to the Florida Keys.
Lisa Clark visited LaVonne on April 4.
Joyce picked up LaVonne on April 5 and they went to Burns to open the polls at Burns Community Center. Seventy-one voters turned out for the election. Joyce and LaVonne took the ballots to Marion in the evening.
LaVonne received an e-mail update on Emily Magette’s condition following cancer treatment.
