Families visit farm

Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived at LaVonne Ammeter’s home Feb. 2 and stayed the night.
Myron and Sally Ammeter arrived Feb. 3 to go with Blaine and LaVonne to the doctor in Newton. Sally went to Legacy Park in Peabody to visit her mother, Opal Craney. Blaine returned home that evening.
B.J. Ammeter and LaVonne went shopping Feb. 4 at Peabody.
Steve and Melody Magette arrived at the farm Feb. 5 to stay the night and the next day.
On Feb. 6, Gary Davis came from Newton, and Gary, Melody, and LaVonne went to services at Ebenezer Methodist Church. Carolyn Holm of Wichita and Stan Ammeter were guests for lunch. Michele Hartnagel picked up a cake for a party. The Magettes returned to Dodge City later in the day.
B.J. Ammeter and LaVonne went to Marion on Feb. 7 to take care of business.
Michele Boese and Dylan and Blondie Logan went to a doctor’s appointment and shopped Feb. 7 in Newton.
Stan Ammeter came to the Ammeter farm Feb. 8 for a while. John Boese stopped by on his way home.
LaVonne ate at the senior center Jan. 26 in Peabody.
Myron and Sally Ammeter of Manhattan took Opal Craney shopping and out for lunch Jan. 27 in Newton. Later they went to LaVonne’s home for supper. Stan and B.J. Ammeter joined them. They returned to Manhattan in the evening.
B.J. Ammeter took LaVonne to Legacy Park on Jan. 28 for a birthday party. LaVonne was surprised when she realized the party was in her honor. She was recognized for her years of baking cakes at the nursing home. She received flowers and a plaque. Cake was served. LaVonne visited with Donna Robb, Opal Craney, and Richard and Lucille Wyss after the party.
Laura Atwater of Wichita went to LaVonne’s home Jan. 29 and spent the morning with her grandmother. LaVonne and Stan Ammeter spent the morning.
Kenneth and Pat Phillips of El Dorado picked up LaVonne on Jan. 29 and they attended the 80th birthday party for Loreen Ratzlaff at Wheatland Homes in Newton. Loreen’s family in attendance included Galen, Gary, Wanda, and Charney.
LaVonne attended services Jan. 30 at Ebenezer Methodist Church. Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood came to the farm to hunt with Stan and B.J. Ammeter and John and Dylan Boese. LaVonne fixed lunch for them. Blaine stayed overnight.
The last day of hunting season was Jan. 31, so B.J., Blaine, Stan, John, and Dylan spent the day hunting. Michele Hartnagel joined them later. Blaine returned home in the afternoon.
