LaVonne Ammeter went to Marion Nov. 19 on business and did some shopping. Later, she went back to Peabody and helped with peppernuts at the senior center. Then she visited Donna Robb, Emma Shaw, Ruth Arnold, Dorothy Whisler, and Richard and Lucille Wyss at Legacy Park.
On Nov. 20 LaVonne’s nephew, Chris Melson, of Nebraska, stopped by to visit. Stan Ammeter also visited with Chris.
The community had church at Summit Nov. 22.
Michele Boese went to LaVonne’s Nov. 24 to help decorate cakes.
Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived Nov. 25. They helped take a birthday cake to Legacy Park. They had spent the night before with Opal Craney, Sally’s mom. Melody and Steve Magette of Dodge City came later to spend the night.
Kevin and Emily Haxton and kids of Ellsworth arrived Thanksgiving day and stayed for the day.
Dinner guests were Melody and Steve Magette, Sally and Myron Ammeter, Kevin and Emily Haxton, Avery and Elyse, Opal Craney, and Stan Ammeter. Myron and Sally, the Haxtons, and Magettes left late afternoon.
Blaine and Carol Ammeter and Todd Ammeter arrived late evening to spend the night. Everyone helped decorate LaVonne’s Christmas tree.
B.J. Ammeter went hunting Friday morning. Lunch guests were hunters Stan, Blaine, Darrell, B.J., Bob, and Michelle. Todd left to go back to Camp Aldrich after lunch. Blaine and Carol went to Don and Marge Gfeller’s in the afternoon.
Blaine and LaVonne went to Peabody Saturday to deliver a cake to the senior center for Marge and Fordy Gray’s 60th wedding anniversary. After lunch, they went to the Gfeller’s.
Late Saturday evening Melody and Steve Magette of Dodge City came and spent the night.
LaVonne, Melody, and Steve went to Eudora early Sunday morning to Eric and Kristin Magette’s. They went to church to Rachel Ann’s baptism and then back to the home of Eric and Kristin Magette and Rachel Ann for lunch.
Amanda and Bryan Kantock, Bethany and Reagan, of Colorado Springs; Adam and Crystal Magette and Lucas; and Kristin’s parents, grandfather, aunt, and friends were all guests of the Magette’s.
Stan Ammeter was a supper guest Sunday evening.
John and Dylan Boese visited LaVonne, Carol, and Blaine Saturday afternoon.
