Michele Boese arrived at LaVonne Ammeter’s home Aug. 25 to help decorate a birthday cake to take to Legacy Park in Peabody. Stan Ammeter was a supper guest.

B.J. Ammeter and LaVonne went to Peabody on Aug. 26 to deliver the cake and did some shopping.

LaVonne went to Legacy Park on Aug. 27 and visited Dorothy Whistler, Donna Robb, and Bill Krause. She attended a birthday party and visited Richard and Lucille Wyss.

LaVonne met Pat and Kenneth Phillips and Larry and Theo Jean Winzer on Aug. 28 for lunch at Burns. They met to plan a reunion for Oct. 9 for the classes of 1948, 1949, and 1950. LaVonne then went to Marion to shop.

Services, conducted by the Rev. David Ragland and the district superintendent, were Aug. 29 at Summit. The congregation decided to close the church Oct. 10. There will be a special service and celebration that day.

Gary Davis was a dinner guest Aug. 29 of LaVonne’s.

Donna Ramsey rode her horse to LaVonne’s house Aug. 31 for a visit. They ate lunch together. Michele Boese visited that evening. Word was received later of the death of Carole Logan.
