Wrong driver

Two vehicles involved in an accident May 21 were mis-identified in oral reports provided to the newspaper last week.

The two collided at 5:58 p.m. May 21 after Zachary R. Luthi, 31, Marion, failed to yield at a stop sign, according to written reports obtained by the paper.

Luthi, driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, pulled out onto US-50 at Nighthawk Rd. in front of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by Karen J. Baliel, 52, Marion, the reports say.

Reports indicated Luthi was injured and Baliel was not. Both refused medical transport at the scene.

However, Baliel later was taken to a Newton hospital.

No tickets have been written to date.
