High-speed chase

In some editions last week, social media postings by veterinary assistant Kassie Allen incorrectly were associated with Kassandra Allen, a suspect in a high-speed chase.

Because of initial confusion over the driver’s identity and close similarity in appearance between booking photos and social media photos, the two women from the same general area had appeared to be the same person.

Upon discovering that this was false, and the Record immediately retracted its original story, replaced it with a correct version, and publicly apologized to Kassie Allen, who in no way was involved in the chase.
