Marion golfer Jade Corona took ninth out of 22 golfers competing in a Remington golf tournament Thursday at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Newton.
“As a team we didn’t do very well, we took last place out of four teams, but Jade brought home a medal and that was nice,” coach Jim Pohlman said of the combined Marion and Peabody-Burns team.
After scoring a 54 on the front nine and shooting a 52 on the back, Corona claimed ninth place with a 106.
Zach Stephey shot a 117, Brent Buller scored a 120, Austin Molleker shot a 135, and Jacob Matz scored a 141.
The Warriors tee off next at 3 p.m. May 6 at Marion Country Club
