Cornelia Nelson

Cornelia L. “Toady” Nelson, 94, died March 11 at Diversicare Home in Council Grove.

She was born April 19, 1920, to George and Lelia (Rose) Holmes at Lincolnville. She married Lyle “Keith” Nelson on June 1, 1940. They farmed and raised livestock.

She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Ernie Holmes, Mabel Tiemeier, Orville Holmes, and Letha Young; and a granddaughter.

She is survived by sons four sons, Leon, of Burdick, Steve, of Delavan, Terry, of Lincolnville, and Jerry, of Soldier; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was Saturday at Marion Christian Church. Cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment was to be in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Burdick.

A memorial fund has been established for Diversicare Home of Council Grove.
