Colleen B. Yoder

Colleen B. Yoder, 83, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, April 21, 2013.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Kan.

She was born March 18, 1930, in Halstead, Kan., to Arnold A. and Charlotte B. Regier. She married Fred H. Yoder on May 22, 1948, in Sedgwick, Kan. To this union three children were born: Glenn, Teresa, and Tammie.

Colleen was a farmer’s wife, truck driver, waitress, and school bus driver for USD 398. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid University of Kansas Jayhawk fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Bobbie; and brother, John.

Survivors include her children, Glenn (Koni) Yoder of Peabody, Teresa Maples of Valley Center, and Tammie (Butch) Suffield of Peabody; grandchildren, Eric (Kim) Yoder, Greg (Bria) Lehr, Keri Lehr, Heather (Mike) LaRue, Ashley (Matt) Kangas, and Jeremy (Bobbie) Yoder; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Barb) Regier of Dunlap, Ill.; sister-in-law, Virginia Regier of Hiawatha, Kan.; and a host of friends and relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harden Hospice of Kansas at 301 N. Main, Newton, KS 67114.
