Two Peabody-Burns High School seniors recently were selected to receive scholarships from Mid Kansas Cooperative Association, Moundridge.
Bayleigh Clark and Christopher Brooks each received a $500 scholarship. More than 80 students applied for scholarships with nine receiving them.
“The selection process was difficult as we received a large number of outstanding applications,” said Kerry Watson, MKC Communications/Administrative Specialist. “Award winners demonstrated a balance of academics, leadership, and other involvement during their high school careers. We are proud to play a role that supports today’s student leaders on their path to becoming tomorrow’s business and community leaders.”
Clark plans to major in pre-dentistry at Kansas State University and Brooks plans to major in diesel mechanics at Hutchinson Community College.
