Benjamin Hornbeck filed a petition Nov. 27 against BNSF Railway and L.G. Pike Construction Co. Hornbeck, a railroad engineer, clams BNSF failed to prevent a collision and that both defendants failed to warn him that Pike was using a large crawler on the track. He claims that, in the resulting collision and derailment, he sustained injuries to his neck, back, shoulders, elbows, upper extremities, and the adjacent nerves, blood vessels, soft tissues, ligaments, muscles, and bones and was hospitalized for those conditions. Use, movement, and function of those parts of his body have been impaired, Hornbeck claims. Hornbeck seeks more than $75,000.

Charles Jensen was ordered Nov. 18 to pay Velocity Investments $7,023.55 plus costs and interest for unpaid credit card bills.

Pennymac Loan Services filed suit Nov. 26 against Charles Jensen seeking to foreclose a mortgage on 870 70th Rd. Pennymac seeks $203,121.08 plus costs and interest and for the property to be sold at a sheriff’s sale.

Mary Rauh was ordered Nov. 18 to pay Marion County EMS $1,569.51 plus costs and interest for unpaid medical bills.
