Mariela Gomez, on behalf of her daughters Mayte and Ashley Antunez, filed a suit Feb. 28 against Antunez Rodriguez. Gomez and her daughters were passengers in Rodriguez’s pickup Nov. 5 when the pickup and a 2021 Jeep Cherokee driven by Diane Hannah of Manitoba collided. Gomez, her daughters, and Rodriguez were injured. Hannah died at the scene. Gomez also filed a proposed settlement that would provide $1,405 for each of the Gomez’s daughters for outstanding medical bills and $5,706.41 for each for personal injuries.

Lavon E. and Jack A. Martin were ordered March 2 to pay Newton Healthcare Corp. $3034.33 plus costs and interest for unpaid medical bills.
